The Cusack Tap-a-Scream is, in essence, a Cusack Screamer that is capable of modulating overdrive into 24 waveforms. Unlike a tremolo, which only modulates volume, the TAS uses an all  analog vactrol circuit to actually ramp the amount of overdrive (volume as well) up and down, creating  hypnotic modulating overdrive effects. Often dismissed and misunderstood in the past, the Tap-a-Scream is now back in a limited new old stock edition. Find your favorite overdrive modulation parameters and store them to correspond to the 8 settings of the Wave switch. Or hold the Bypass briefly to turn off the modulation and use it as a standard v1 Cusack Screamer; one of the most renowned TS inspired pedals on the planet. Hold the Bypass again and the modulation starts along with your pre-programmed fade in time and speed. You'll be surprised by the creative sounds of this pedal, the only one of it's kind in the world..... Let's hear what you can do with it !

Available only in engraved raw aluminum with a textured black bottom cover and black butyrate knobs.

What started as a joke became the world’s first and only tap tempo overdrive. The Cusack Music Tap-A-Scream is our Screamer overdrive pedal with our tap tempo engine. But why is there to tap tempo on an overdrive, you ask? The gain of course. Best described sonically as an overdriven tremolo, the Tap-A-Scream has all the same features of the Screamer, while the 24 waveforms modulate the gain.

The fade-in, brake speed, tap divide, tempo, and tremolo on/off are all programmable for each waveform independently. Once you have the settings for a given waveform simply push BOTH footswitches as the same time to save those settings.

An external RCA jack on the back of the pedal can be used as either a Tap IN, or OUT. Connect a cable from the RCA jack to another pedal’s Tap input to use the internal switch on the Tap-A-Scream to tap both at the same time. You could also set the tempo remotely by plugging the PBT Tap Out or Remote Tap Switch into this RCA jack.
